Anyone who consider to use arvixe's hosting must have in mind that they use PHP 5.1. If you want to use PHP 5.3 you must to request them for it and they will enable PHP 5.3 in CGI mode, SO you must read this post http://www.precurio.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=494 about checking for module gd version in servers with PHP CGI

Thank you mayorbrain and novaj for your help. The .htaccess changes novaj suggested didn't work in my case, but I had a similar problem in my local installation and it was solved by just setting the right path to my precurio intranet in the setup section.

So I manually editted the two files mayorbrain pointed out and it seems to be working ok.
